Civic Education Sessions are held during certain Metro Human Relations Commission public meetings. These sessions are designed to inform the public about specific government projects, programs, policies, and other pertinent topics. Guests who have experience with these items are invited to speak to the commissioners, and, thus, inform everyone in attendance and/or watching on television. Not all of the commission's public meetings will include Civic Education Sessions. If a session will be held at an upcoming meeting, it will be noted on the public notice, which can be found at the following link:
Human Relations Commission Meeting Information
The first of these sessions was held at the Downtown Library on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the monthly commission meeting. The Mayor’s Resilience Office provided a presentation on its work and goals. Below is a video of that meeting and presentation.
