Trevor Porter joined the Metropolitan Historical Commission as a Historic Preservationist 1 in 2021. Born and raised in Memphis, TN, he came to Nashville in 2007 to attend Tennessee State University and originally majored in Music. As an undergraduate student, he discovered a passion for history and found himself interning with MHZC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in History, with a minor in Music from TSU, and is working on a Master of Arts in Public History at Middle Tennessee State University.
