Nashville Planning staff will provide an update to the Commissioners on the status of Compact Development. The Compact Development puts focus on sites closer to existing city infrastructure, such as major corridors and parks, but would also allow for reduced lot sizes, in exchange for providing outdoor space and recreational uses. Additionally, the goals of Compact Development complement those set in NashvilleNext particularly aligning with the objectives to increase density and housing diversity; build on and near corridors; and incorporate green space into our urban fabric.
