Barnes Housing Trust Fund
The Barnes Fund makes awards to nonprofit housing developers and nonprofit-led partnerships to create new rental and homeownership housing and preserve owner-occupied housing.
Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program (CHIP) / Community Infrastructure Program
CHIP is a new Nashville housing tool that offers affordable housing developers the opportunity to connect affordable housing to enhanced infrastructure investments.
Mixed-Income Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT)
To incentivize mixed-income affordable housing for the Nashville-Davidson Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in multifamily properties that otherwise would not have any income-restricted units.
Permit and Departmental Priority Review
Metro offers prioritization for departmental review of certain permit applications and related reviews for qualifying affordable housing developments.
Metro Property for Affordable Housing
In addition to funding and incentives for the creation and preservation of affordable housing, Metro Nashville makes or utilizes some of its property for affordable housing.
The Nashville Catalyst Fund
The Nashville Catalyst Fund enables mission-aligned developers to preserve existing affordable housing and accelerate production of new affordable housing within Nashville/Davidson County.

Doing Business with Metro
In addition to these resources, Metro issues opportunities to purchase goods and services through its Procurement Office. A business must register in iSupplier before bidding on a Procurement opportunity. This includes subcontractors, who must be registered before they are included in a prime contractor's offer.
