About Us
The Metro Nashville Housing Division launched on January 3, 2022, as the city's first office dedicated to addressing Nashville's housing needs and long-standing housing inequities. Our vision is that every Nashvillian has housing security.
As part of the Planning Department, the Housing Division capitalizes on their technical expertise and ability to engage closely with the community to better align systems, resources, and partners in ways that create housing solutions that are affordable and attainable for all Nashvillians.
The Housing Division is also proud to house and work closely with the Barnes Fund.

Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing)
We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the Nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
