Public Facilities inspectors enforce rules and regulations for hotels, swimming pools, schools, camps, prisons and tattoo and body piercing shops in Davidson County. At a minimum, pools are inspected every month that they are open for swimmers, hotels and bed & breakfasts are inspected twice per year, tattoo shops are inspected four times per year, camps are inspected twice per year, and body piercers, schools, and childcare locations are inspected once per year. Inspectors with the Public Facilities team look at conditions at hotels to ensure safety for guests at Nashville’s many hotels. An inspection is performed before a hotel opens, in addition to regular surprise inspections at least twice per year.
