The Ryan White Part A program is committed to the quality of care and services that are provided to people living with HIV/AIDS in the 13 Counties in Transitional Grant Area (TGA). The Clinical Quality Management (CQM) program includes infrastructure, performance measures, and quality improvement practices. CQM seeks to prevent problems and to maximize the quality of care by identifying opportunities for improvement in HIV services and best practices in health care treatment.
Clinical Quality Management (CQM) has two objectives:
- Assess the extent to which HIV health services provided to patients under the grant are consistent with the most recent Public Health Service guidelines, (otherwise known as the HHS guidelines) for the treatment of HIV disease and related opportunistic infections.
- Develop strategies for ensuring that such services are consistent with the guidelines for improvement in the access to, and quality of HIV services.
Clinical Quality Management Committee
The Health Resource and Service Administrations (HRSA) requires the Ryan White Part A to have a Clinical Quality Management (CQM) Committee. This committee is comprised of people with HIV lived experiences, community stakeholders and representation from the funded sub-recipients’ that service the community. The committee meets on a quarterly basis and helps to develop strategies that ensure, good health outcomes, clients’ satisfaction with HIV and improve patient care. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Clinical Quality Management (CQM) Committee, please contact Regina Bell, Ryan White Clinical Quality Management (CQM) Monitor at [email protected].
