Public Notice - Air Pollution Control Public Comment Period Extension

An application for a construction permit for a hot-mix asphalt plant has been submitted by Jones Bros. Contractors, LLC, 771 Burnett Road, Old Hickory, Tennessee. During the required 30-day public comment period, several commenters requested a public hearing and/or additional time to submit comments. The permitting regulations do not provide for a public hearing in this situation. However, due to the holidays and the inclement weather, the written comment period is being extended an additional two weeks, until January 20, 2023. This will allow more time for commenters to obtain the proposed documents from the health department to which the comments are supposed to refer. Copies of the application package are on file for public review in the Metro Public Health Department, Vital Records Division, 2500 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. Comments must be received in the Air Pollution Control Division Office no later than January 20, 2023. Emailed comments may be directed to [email protected].
