The Madison Community wants tools to improve the overall appearance of Gallatin Pike. Over 80 people attended a community workshop in November, 2019. While there, people discussed possible next steps and the best tools to achieve the community vision.
Engagement and Implementation
In fall of 2020, a Corridor Design Overlay (CDO) that applies to an area of properties along Gallatin Pike was adopted by Council. Portions of Council District 7 (Emily Benedict), District 8 (Nancy VanReece), and District 9 (Tonya Hancock) are included. See if your property is included within the CDO. View the Corridor Design Overlay webpage for additional information. A 90-day public comment period for the potential Corridor Design Overlay was held from February to May 2020.
Additional implementation actions are being led by Councilmembers and community stakeholders.
