The Nashville Fire Department – Fire Marshal’s Office plays a key role in the development process in Metro Nashville/Davidson County. The Fire Marshal’s Office (FMO) is involved every step of the way from pre-development or pre-construction meetings to final inspection approvals required to achieve the Use and Occupancy (U&O) letter.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is also responsible for Fire and Life Safety Code compliance inspections throughout all of Metro Nashville/Davidson County.
