Fire Plan Review staff are often the first contact permit applicants will have with the Fire Marshal’s Office. Our skilled and experienced Plan Reviewers work closely with project architects, design professionals, and project stakeholders throughout the planning and design process to assure many non-compliant, unusual hardships, and local requirements are addressed prior to submitting plans for permit approval.
The Fire Plan Review section of the Fire Marshal’s Office works in conjunction with the Metro Codes department, Zoning and Planning department, utility providers and other local and State agencies to review construction plans, site development plans, and new subdivisions for general compliance with adopted fire code and life safety standards.
The Fire Plan Review section also reviews plans for fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, hazardous material storage, high-piled storage, and special events.
All plan reviews are conducted electronically. Paper plans are no longer accepted for review.
Questions and inquiries regarding the Fire Plan Review or permitting process may be sent to the Fire Plan Review section via email at [email protected].
