The Nashville Fire Department will add 20 new firefighters to the department during a graduation ceremony at Madison Church of Christ on Friday, March 13 at 10:30 a.m., at the Madison Church of Christ.
Battalion 81 completed more than 1,000 hours of an intensive curriculum, including classroom lectures and hands on training.
Mayor John Cooper will join Nashville Fire Department Director Chief William Swann to congratulate and swear in the newest members of the Nashville Fire Department.
“The events of the last week show just how special it is to be a first responder in Nashville-Davidson County,” Director Chief Swann said. “These recruits will have the same dedication to our community that our personnel have who worked tirelessly in the wake of the March 3, 2020 tornado.”
Media wanting to attend the graduation should RSVP to Community Services Officer Kendra Loney at [email protected].
