Multiple agencies tracked arsonist for six months to make the arrest
Nashville Fire Investigators arrested Ricardo Torain, 33, in Nashville on Wednesday February 10, 2021.
Torain is charged with Aggravated Arson in connection with a fire at 1360 Brick Church Pike on August 31, 2020.
Fire Department Investigators arrested Torain with assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations (TBI) and the United States Marshal Services Middle Tennessee Joint Fugitive Task Force (USMS).
The Nashville Fire Department responded to a fire at the abandoned Raven Motel on August 31, 2020.
Fire Investigators determined the fire was intentional and developed Ricardo Torain as the suspect. The fire caused an estimated $530,000 dollars in damage to the former motel.
Nashville Fire Department Investigators, TBI and USMS searched for Torain after investigators obtained warrants in the days following the fire. The TBI and USMS assisted Fire Investigators with tracking Torain’s movements throughout multiple states.
Torain remains in the Davidson County Jail on $75,000 bond.
