Jennie Dawson
Landlord Engagement CoordinatorJennie Dawson, Landlord Engagement Coordinator for the Office of Homeless Services, has a diverse background in affordable housing, real estate, mortgage processing, and senior living. She has her degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Strayer University and has also earned certifications as a HUD Certified Financial Specialist and HUD Certified Occupancy Specialist. Jennie loves providing services for the elderly and spends her spare time as a voluntary Long Term Care Ombudsman. Jennie also volunteers in the community by serving food to the homeless, participating in free school supply giveaways, and assisting with several faith-based community events. She has spent much of her career here in Nashville participating in the affordable housing industry where she has assisted in processing and monitoring housing subsidies for landlords who hold HUD Project-Based Section 8 (PBRA) contracts. Jennie also promotes affordable housing within the community on a daily basis, advocating that shelter is a basic human right for all persons regardless of socioeconomic status.
