Function

The Stormwater Management Commission was established for purposes of appeal of an adverse staff decision related to the Stormwater Regulations. The Stormwater Management Commission hears and decides appeals and variance requests related to Stormwater Regulations.

Rules and Regulations

Due to an overwhelming number of Stormwater Management Commission applications received at the last minute on Tuesdays, and the time required to review each application, the deadline to submit complete applications is noon on the application submittal deadline date as noted below in the chart. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit applications as early as possible for review prior to the deadline. Incomplete application packages and packages submitted after noon deadline will be returned to the applicants.

The Commission requires that a Pre-Application Meeting be held with Stormwater Staff prior to submittal to allow Staff to have the opportunity for a meaningful review of the plans, variance requests, and mitigation, to provide feedback and suggestions and any other recommendations they deem appropriate, and to allow the Applicant time to address comments. It is the Applicant’s responsibility to schedule a meeting with the Commission Coordinator and provide meeting notes. Staff feedback and suggestions do not preclude the potential that any Commissioner may have additional questions or request additional information or level of study at the meeting.
