Accepted Bulk Items for Recycling
Mattress and Box Springs
Residents can drop off any combination of up to 4 mattresses and box springs per month. See the Convenience Center webpage for associated fees.
Tires
Residents can drop off up to 4 tires without rims per month at no charge. East and Ezell Pike Centers only. See the Convenience Center webpage for fees for tires with rims.
Scrap Metal
Residents can drop off one bulk scrap metal item or up to three trash bags of scrap metal at no charge, including but not limited to:
- Aluminum baking trays
- Aluminum siding and poles
- Barbeques
- Dishwashers
- Expired license plates
- Lawncare equipment
- Ovens and ranges
- Refrigerators
- Washers and dryers
- Other large household appliances
- Sporting equipment
Small amounts of carpet pad
Residents can drop off carpet pad at no additional charge. No stacked pick-up trucks or trailer loads allowed. Carpet pad must be separated from carpet for recycling purposes. East and Ezell Pike Centers only.

Before sending your furniture to landfill, consider if it can be donated for reuse through secondhand stores or online marketplaces. Residents can bring up to one bulk trash item at no charge. See the Convenience Center webpage for associated fees for additional bulk items.
