Metro Water Services is pleased to announce that the 2019 Consumer Confidence Report is available online at ccr.nashville.gov.
The annual water quality report, required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), confirms the safety and quality of the water supplied by Metro Water Services’ two water treatment plants, Omohundro and K.R. Harrington. It also highlights the many ways Metro Water Services goes above and beyond to ensure the quality and reliability of our services.
Metro Water Services is pleased to report that water quality test results show our drinking water meets or exceeds all water quality health standards and drinking water regulations set by the EPA and TN Department of Environment and Conservation.
The report describes testing, substances detected, the levels of those substances, and our compliance with drinking water regulations. In addition, it includes information regarding the water treatment process, the state of our water source, the Cumberland River, and important contact information.
Metro Water Services is releasing the annual water quality report in conjunction with Drinking Water Week, May 5-11, 2019. Drinking Water Week is an opportunity to recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives. Metro Water Services invites our customers to join us on a free 45-minute walking tour of the K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plant to gain a new perspective and better understanding of this vital resource. During the walking tour of the treatment plant, you will learn about drinking water treatment processes and what Metro Water Services is doing to stay ahead of the curve as Nashville grows.
