Due to inclement weather, the Metro Emergency Overflow Shelter will operate on extended hours remaining open 24 hours Wednesday, February 19. We will continue to closely monitor the temperatures over the next 7 days.
Cold Weather Shelter Data
- 1,477 unique people served
- 27 guests moved into permanent housing.
- 287 guests (average served each night).
- 70% with either a disabling condition and/or a survivor of domestic violence.
Primary Shelters Options
- Metro Emergency Shelter operates as the overflow shelter; please continue to use the regular Emergency Shelter options at Room In the Inn and Nashville Rescue Mission.
- Launch Pad Emergency Shelter: For unstably housed young adults (ages 18-24) in an LGBTQ+ affirming environment. Details about hours, locations, and procedures will be provided to young adults via email upon sign-up through the Nashville Launch Pad website.
Transportation
WeGo Central (400 Charlotte Avenue)
Arrive by 6:30 p.m. for the #23B bus, departing from Bay 24.
Free Shuttle Service
Stops include West Nashville, Nolensville Pike Walmart, and additional routes in Hermitage. Additional Pick-up Locations Details
Morning bus passes provided for return transportation.
How to Get Involved
- Volunteers are needed at WeGo Central to assist individuals in finding bus routes. Sign up via Hands On Nashville.
- Hygiene products are accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 3230 Brick Church Pike.
