In 2012, Outside Magazine named Nashville one of the "Best River Towns in America". Metro Parks offers a variety of options to get you out on the water!
General Public Day Trips
Come explore Middle Tennessee rivers with a Metro Parks guided excursion. Day trips include paddling instruction by American Canoe Association certified guides, canoe or kayak rental, all the necessary equipment, and shuttle service back to your vehicle. All for $25! Check out our calendar of events to find the right trip for you!
Guided Group Trips
Have a school, church, business, or family group? We can customize a trip! We accommodate up to 20 people, provide two Metro Parks canoe and kayak guides, boats, and all the necessary gear. Our group rate is $600 for groups of 20. Please call or text 615-642-9745 for more information.
Water Access - Launch Sites
If you are interested in paddling on your own, check out our Water Access page for put-in and take-out locations!
To promote active healthy lifestyles and to get kids outside and exploring nature, Metro Parks also offers a variety of programming through our community centers. Check with your local center or call 615-862-8400 for more information.
During the colder months, Metro Parks offers boating skills courses at the Centennial Sportsplex pool. These two-hour courses are fun and informative and suitable for all boater skill levels. We teach you float plan preparation, basic paddle strokes, and an introduction to a kayak roll!
