- All tennis and fitness patrons must check-in at the front desk
- Children under age 13 are not permitted in the fitness center or free weight area. This includes strollers, baby carriers, and children sitting inside the fitness center while a parent or guardian exercises.
- Children ages 13-15 may utilize fitness facility when accompanied by an adult.
- Ages 16-17 may use the fitness facility without an adult present if they present our waiver signed by an adult granting permission.
- You must wear at all times rubber-soled shoes that cover the entire foot. For health and safety reasons, you may not wear sandals, work boots, or flip-flop type shoes.
- Wear a shirt at all times. We do not permit bathing suits, jeans, or dress clothes.
- We do not allow gym bags/clothes bags on the fitness floor (including the cardio area/track). Store these items in the cubbies or in the lockers.
- We do not allow food. We do allow closed, plastic beverage containers.
- Be mindful of others. Share equipment.
- Do not yell or use profanity.
- We recommend using a spotter when lifting weights. The fitness room is not always supervised and you are exercising at your own risk.
- Metro Parks is not responsible for personal belongings lost or stolen.
- Report any equipment problems to the front desk or fitness center attendant.
- Use headphones with all personal music devices.
- No spitting.
- Practice good personal hygiene.
- Be sure to fully insert pins in machine weight stacks.
- Return weights to designated areas after use.
- Wipe machines and equipment after use.
- Avoid weight slamming and dropping. It is costly and can cause injury.
- Use equipment for its intended purpose.
- No talking on cell phones.
- Centennial Sportsplex staff are the only personal trainers permitted.
Parks Department Recommendations
- Consult your physician before you begin any exercise or fitness program.
- Drink plenty of water before, during, and after you exercise.
- If you experience any pain, discomfort or dizziness, stop exercising immediately and notify a staff member.
Cardio Area Rules
- Limit use of cardio equipment to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
- Wipe equipment after use.
Locker Room Rules
- Place all personal belongings in lockers. Do not leave valuables out and unattended.
- Place used towels in the appropriate bins.
- Do not use cell phones in the locker rooms.
Track Rules
- Track Direction:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday – Counterclockwise
- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday – Clockwise
- Inside lanes 'slow.' This includes walkers and any exercise moving continuously around the track.
- Outside lanes 'fast.' This Includes joggers and runners.
- Pass safely and courteously. When passing participants, allow enough distance before merging back into the lane.
- Be considerate of walkers and runners.
- No standing, horseplay, or taking up multiple lanes. Leave room for passing.
- No food permitted. We do allow water in closed, plastic beverage containers.
- You must use headphones with all personal music devices.
