Bells Bend Mountain Biking
Bells Bend Outdoor Center mountain bike trails to further enhance the plentiful offerings of Metro Parks. Working in partnership with the Middle Tennessee chapter of IMBA–SORBA, Bells Bend has 4.8–5.0 miles of single–track trails ideal for beginner riders, children and families. The landscape includes small rock formations, some exposed roots, open fields, and rolling hills.
There are two loops rated at the beginner/intermediate level. One loop offers a slower–paced, relaxed ride for cruisers and one loop will be more technical with a few switchbacks. The system is to be utilized in a clockwise or counter–clockwise direction. The trails will be closed in wet weather conditions. Port–O–Let facilities and water will be available at the trailhead or visitors can utilize the restroom facilities at the Bells Bend Outdoor Center. For easy access to the trail system, parking will be available at either the trailhead or at the Bells Bend Outdoor Center.
There are a limited number of free mountain bikes and helmets available for loan on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact 615-862-4187 for more information on availability.

Outdoor Bouldering Rock at Bells Bend Outdoor Center
There is an artificial bolder next to Bells Bend Outdoor Center. It is visible from the parking lot. It has some climbing holds on it, however, the most fun to be had is on the routes with no holds! Safety mats are required and loaner crash pads are available upon request, and you must be 13 years or older.
Bouldering is rock climbing stripped down to its raw essentials where you only use your climbing shoes, safety mats, and ingenuity. No ropes or harnesses! While the journey to the top may seem short, getting there poses its own challenges. Solving bouldering "problems" is a great exercise to improve your balance, technique, strength, and strategic thinking.
