The Z. Alexander Looby Theater ("The Looby") is named after the famed Nashville-based civil rights leader and is home to a wide variety of programming. Located at 2301 Rosa L. Parks Blvd in North Nashville, the facility offers events presented by The Metro Parks Theater, Music, and Dance Departments, as well as events presented by other organizations through partnerships and rentals.
Metro Parks Cultural Arts Performances
The Z. Alexander Looby Theater is home to many of Metro Parks Cultural Arts own performances from the Theater, Music and Dance departments, including:
- Youth Ensemble Productions
- Centennial Youth Ballet Spring Dance Concert

Rental Process
- Email or call Didi McCollum for availability and questions about booking.
- Once available dates are settled, Didi will send you the application to rent.
- Fill out application and the event details sheet and email them to Didi McCollum.
- Didi will forward the documents to the artistic coordinator to confirm staff availability and the theater supervisor to approve the rental.
- If approved, the theater supervisor will sign and collect a deposit.
- After the deposit has been paid, Didi will update the calendar with your rental. Note: The rental is not confirmed until after the deposit has been paid.
