Hidden in the greenways, parks, and backyards of Nashville are several varieties of stunning native orchids. The vibrant flower has been revered for centuries for its exoticism and inspirational qualities. But these treasures, long part of rich folkloric traditions, have been largely forgotten by many Nashvillians. Come hear author of "Nashville Native Orchids: Astonishing Science and Mysterious Folklore" share her knowledge and enthusiasm. You'll learn how to find, identify, and conserve native orchids in your neighborhood. Parnassus Books will be onsite with books available for purchase.
