Old Hickory Community Center Construction Schedule
Demolition on the Old Hickory Community Center began on July 8, 2024.
Construction on the new Community Center is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2025.
Community Center and Phase One Park Design
In 2022, Mayor Cooper and the Metro Council approved funding for final design and construction of the community center and a first phase of master plan implementation.
A public meeting was held in July 2022 to update the community on the design process. Information presented at the meeting can be viewed here:

2018 Park Master Plan and Schematic Design
In 2018, Metro Parks undertook the development of a park master plan and schematic design documents for a new regional community center. The process included detailed site analysis, cost estimating and two public meetings to solicit community input. The resulting documents can be viewed here:
