Metro Parks and Recreation announced today that nine of its community centers will host Halloween activities open to the public on October 29-30. All activities listed are free and open to the public. Here’s a listing.
A Drive-Through Trick-Or-Treat will take place at Madison Community Center (615-862-8459) on Thursday, October 28, between 5:00-8:00 p.m.
A Trunk-Or-Treat event will take place at Shelby Park Community Center (615-862-8467) on Thursday, October 28, between 6:00-8:00 p.m. There will be candy, fun games and prizes!
Another Trunk-Or-Treat event will be hosted at Watkins Park Community Center (615-862-8468) on Thursday, October 28, between 4:30-5:30 p.m.
A Trick-Or-Treat event will take place at West Park Community Center (615-862-8469) on Thursday, October 28, between 6:00-8:00 p.m. Come join us for a night of fun and candy!
A Drive-Through Trick-Or-Treat will take place at Bellevue Regional Community Center (615-862-8435) on Friday, October 29, between 5:00-7:00 p.m.
A Family-Movie-Night will be hosted by East Park Community Center (615-862-8448) on Halloween Eve, Friday, October 29, at 4:00 p.m. There will be games, snacks, and candy!
Smith Springs Community Center (615-862-8420) will host a Spooky-Blast-Fest on Friday, October 29 starting at 3:00 p.m. There will be movies, pets costume contest, haunted house, face painting, spooky skate and snacks.
The annual Halloween-Skate-Fest will take place at Hartman Park Community Center (615-862-8479) on Friday, October 29, between 3:30-6:30 p.m. There will be skating, costume contest, ghoulish games, frightening food and pranky prizes.
Kirkpatrick Community Center (615-862-8453) will host a Fall and All Paint-In-The-Park event featuring “paint it yourself art” on a pre-designed canvas. The event is scheduled for Friday, October 28, between 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and cool jazz played. You’re probably asking is this a Halloween activity. Not really. But we thought you may enjoy it!
Metro Parks manages 27 community centers. Check with your local center for information on free activities for Halloween.
In addition to community centers, the Centennial Park Conservancy’s (615-862-6810) Kidsville program will host a Halloween-themed event on Saturday, October 30 at the Parthenon starting at 10:30 a.m.
