Metro Parks’ Sevier Park Community Center has been recognized for excellence by the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA). Tennessee’s largest association of Parks and Recreation professionals selected the center as the winner of its 2022 award for "Best Overall Programs." Presented by TRPA’s Ethnic Minority Interest Section, the Donald H Stanton Award recognizes the quality, consistency, and management of the programs run at Sevier Park Community Center. Established in 1952, TRPA is a leader in supporting highly effective professionals of Parks and Recreation organizations in Tennessee. Currently, TRPA counts over 2,100 individual and agency members.
Situated in downtown Nashville, Sevier Park Community Center has a long history as a welcoming place for children and adults to gather, play, exercise, and study in one of the city’s most beautiful parks. The center offers a variety of recreational activities, including:
- Fitness Center with cardio, weight machines, dumbbells, and kettlebells
- Classes in dance/aerobics studio
- Exercise classes include Adult Ballet, Strength and Stretch Dance Fit, Tai Chi, Lo-Impact Strength, Pilates, and more
- Indoor and outdoor walking/running tracks
- Gymnasium
- Outdoor playgrounds
- After School and Summer Youth Enrichment programs for students ages 6-14 years
- Club rooms with and without kitchens are available for private rentals
Sevier Park Community Center is located at 3021 Lealand Lane, Nashville, TN 37204.
The center operates Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Saturday, 8;00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
