What is Law Enforcement Exploring?
Explorers attend classes and seminars on law enforcement subjects. Explorers assist the Metro Police Department and other Law Enforcement agencies with areas of searching for lost people, parades, crime prevention programs and other functions directed by the Chief of Police. Explorers also participate in a ride along program, which is where the Explorer rides with a police officer while on duty. Explorers also attend the National Law Enforcement Conference that is put on by the Boy Scouts, so that they can compete with other law enforcement agencies around the country.
