Tips to Avoid Package Thefts
- Use a security camera. Installing a home security system with cameras or a video doorbell are great options to deter package theft, especially when highly visible. (Detectives use video to help identify suspects).
- Consider utilizing a sign that specifically states that the residence is under surveillance.
- Keep your porch clear and visible.
- Enlist the help of a neighbor if you are not at home during the delivery.
- Choose a date for the delivery when you will be at home.
