Months of investigation by Specialized Investigations Division narcotics detectives led to today’s arrest of Nashvillian Christopher Floyd, 31, on a second-degree murder indictment for the December 23, 2017 drug overdose death of Sara Elizabeth Roberts, 33, at her E. Thompson Lane home.
The Medical Examiner determined that Roberts died of acute drug toxicity from heroin, fentanyl, and alcohol. The investigation led to the identification of Floyd as the man detectives allege provided the heroin/fentanyl to Roberts.
Floyd was taken into custody without incident at his Batavia Street home. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
