Madison Precinct detectives are working to locate a convicted serial burglary suspect wanted in Nashville and Sumner County. Robert William Dowell, 34, of Goodlettsville, has seven outstanding burglary warrants, four of which stem from cases in Madison.
Dowell has been identified as the suspect in recent commercial burglaries in the Rivergate Parkway and Gallatin Pike North areas and is believed to be involved in more. Dowell is most recently known to drive a black Chrysler 300, based on surveillance footage from the businesses.
Burglaries at Tiedt’s Automotive on May 26 and Rivergate Supermercado on May 29, both on Gallatin Pike North, as well as the Midas on June 8, on Rivergate Parkway, show Dowell breaking in through the glass doors to gain access to the cash registers. Dowell is also wanted for the June 8 attempted burglary at Meineke on Gallatin Pike North.
Anyone with information on Dowell’s whereabouts are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
