Ten months of investigation by Homicide Unit detectives into the January 7th murder of motorist Alexander Delgado, 16, on Harding Place near Nolensville Pike has led to the arrest of Henry C. Fletcher, Jr., 39, on a charge of criminal homicide.
The investigation, led by Detective David Boone, shows that a silver Acura MDX struck Delgado’s car at a Nolensville Pike gas station a short time before the homicide and left the scene. Delgado chased the Acura in his car and appears to have shot at the Acura. Delgado drove away. The Acura then went after Delgado. The driver, alleged to have been Fletcher, opened fire on Delgado’s car. Delgado was struck in the head and ran off the road. His car crashed into the IHOP at Nolensville Pike and Harding Place.
The arrest warrant against Fletcher was sworn out Wednesday afternoon after a witness who was traveling with Fletcher was located in Georgia and interviewed. Fletcher refused to be interviewed after being apprehended by Specialized Investigations Division detectives on Whites Creek Pike Wednesday night. He is jailed in lieu of $150,000 bond.
