A months long investigation by Special Victims Division detectives led to today’s arrest of Alvaro Martinez Jr., 20, on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children prompted an investigation into explicit materials being sold online through multiple Twitter (X) accounts.
During a voluntary interview with SVD detectives Martinez admitted to owning the accounts to sell pornography. A subsequent search of his phone led to the recovery of images seen online.
Martinez was taken into custody without incident this afternoon on Old Hickory Boulevard in Antioch. He is currently jailed in lieu of $70,000 bond.
