Homicide Unit detectives this afternoon charged O’Neil Boyd, 31, with Thursday evening’s fatal shooting of Demon Floyd Jr., 18, in a parking lot of Hickory Creek Apartments on Vultee Boulevard.
Boyd is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond on a charge of criminal homicide.
The investigation shows that the two were conducting a marijuana transaction when the gunfire occurred.
Specialized Investigations Division detectives tracked Boyd to an apartment complex on Millwood Drive this afternoon and took him into custody without incident.
