Dejuan Moore, 23, who was wanted on two counts of aggravated rape, three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of kidnapping for a November 24 attack involving three teen girls, two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old, is in custody.
The victims reported that they were in their vehicle at a gas station around 2 a.m. when Moore approached them and invited them to a party. They declined and drove off but he followed them in his car, aggressively flashing his high beam headlights trying to get them to pull over. The girls became afraid and turned into the area behind Dollar General, 82 Lafayette Street. The suspect jumped out of his vehicle and forced two of the teens out of their vehicle at gunpoint, sexually assaulting both. The third teen, who remained in the back seat, called 911. Officers quickly arrived and the victims ran to safety. Moore fled in a Chrysler 300 which was later recovered.
Youth Services Juvenile Sexual Assault detectives coordinated with Violent Crimes Division detectives to locate Moore tonight and take him into custody.
Moore will be booked into the Metro Jail.
