Update: Joseph Shadix, 40, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in yesterday’s crash on Lebanon Pike.
A motorcyclist has died following Thursday’s 3:30 p.m. crash on Lebanon Pike near Lynmeade Drive. The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist, identified as a 40-year-old Nashville man, was believed to have been traveling east at a high rate of speed when negotiating a curve in the roadway.
The Harley Davidson left the roadway and traveled across two driveways before the driver was separated from the motorcycle.
He was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died. Efforts are currently underway to notify his family.
There was no evidence of impairment at the scene.
