Homicide detectives Friday night charged Jeremiah Williams, 19, with the August 26 fatal shooting of Charmaine Goodloe at Overlook Ridge Apartments, 2400 Buena Vista Pike.
Extensive review of surveillance cameras led to the identification of Williams as the second suspect in this case. TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) detectives arrested him Friday afternoon. At the time of his arrest, Williams was carrying a .45 caliber pistol. Williams is also wanted in Kentucky for assault on an officer. In addition to criminal homicide, Williams is charged with gun possession during the commission of a dangerous felony, being a fugitive from justice, felony marijuana possession, and evading arrest. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $284,000.
Williams’ co-defendant, Jabaree Q. Jones, 19, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide on September 4.
Goodloe, 34, was sitting in a breezeway of an apartment building with a friend just before midnight on August 26 when shots were fired from the parking lot wounding her. She was rushed to Vanderbilt where she died.
