Violent Crimes Division detectives last night arrested two West Tennessee men on nearly a dozen charges each after they were located at a Linbar Drive gas station with a large quantity of narcotics and two loaded firearms in their white Honda Accord. Convicted felons Demetris Williams, 31, and Jaylan Johnson, 22, were observed conducting drug transactions from the Honda in the parking lot and subsequently taken into custody.
Two loaded firearms, a Shark custom AR-15 and Taurus pistol, were recovered from the Honda.
Also recovered were a large quantity of marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA and pills that field tested positive for fentanyl, as well as paraphernalia.
Both Williams and Johnson were charged with several counts of gun and drug possession. Johnson is additionally charged with criminal impersonation after he gave detectives a false name and birth date.
Williams is jailed on $101,000 bond. Johnson is jailed on $102,000 bond.
