Connect Downtown Action Plan
The Connect Downtown Project Team has released final recommendations for comprehensive multimodal improvements in Downtown Nashville. At the end of 2023, we shared the Draft Action Plan, hosted community open houses, met with stakeholders, and published a survey to collect feedback. The project team finalized the recommendations for investments that will make it easier, faster, and safer to move around Downtown Nashville.

What is Connect Downtown?
Connect Downtown is a joint project of the Nashville Department of Transportation (NDOT), WeGo Public Transit, the Nashville Downtown Partnership, and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) to improve mobility and address traffic congestion in the downtown core.
This effort will identify projects, programs, and policies to help us better manage Downtown’s increasing congestion and make it easier for people to get around by all modes of transportation. We’re looking at traffic and curbside management strategies; transit improvements; walking, rolling, and biking projects; and Vision Zero safety strategies. Our goal is to support both current and future Nashvillians, planning for growth and ensuring that Nashville remains a great destination.
