As a result of large-scale redevelopment along the Harding Pike Corridor, the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) requested that the applicant's traffic engineer KCI Technologies, Inc. conduct a larger mobility study to analyze the collective transportation impact of the proposed redevelopment on the Harding Regional Town Center.
KCI Technologies, Inc. was tasked with evaluating the existing operations of the Harding Pike corridor, assessing the existing transportation plans such as WalknBike, WeGo N-Motion, Nashville Next, etc., and identifying improvements in alignment with Nashville’s strategic mobility goals. After review of KCI’s mobility study findings and consideration of community concerns, NDOT developed a list of required improvements focused on the safety, design, and mobility operations of the corridor.
