Multi-Space Pay Stations
The purpose of on-street parking is to create turnover and maximize the use of each parking space to accommodate short-term parking demand in the area. Multi-space pay stations are placed throughout the Central Business District and western sections of the city, including West End Avenue to 31st Avenue and the Vanderbilt Hospital area.

Multi-Space Pay Station Rates and Time Limits
Rates on multi-space pay stations are $2.25 per hour in the Central Business District and $1.75 per hour on all others. Enforcement hours and time limits are displayed on signage.
Hillsboro Village
- 3 hour parking maximum
- After 5 p.m. you can extend up to 7 hours
Gulch
- 3 hour parking maximum
- After 5 p.m. you can extend up to 7 hours
Downtown, Sobro, Midtown, Edgehill, and Music Row
- 2 hour parking maximum up to 5 p.m.
- After 5 p.m. 3 hour parking maximum
The vehicle must be moved after the maximum time limit is reached. For long term parking, utilize a local parking garage or surface lot.

The Public Square Garage facility is part of the Historic Metro Courthouse complex and has two entrances: James Robertson Parkway and Gay Street.
Metro Parking Garage Rates
Metro-owned downtown parking prices vary from $3 to $20 for all-day max parking. Event parking ranges from $10 to $15. If there is not a scheduled event, night and weekend parking after 5 p.m. ranges from $5 to $10.
Some privately-owned facilities located immediately adjacent to the Bridgestone Arena and the downtown entertainment district may cost more. For more information on special event parking rates, visit the Nashville Downtown Partnership’s website or contact hubNashville at 3-1-1.
Handicapped Parking
Parking at any metered space is free for drivers with handicap placards or license plates per Tennessee Statute, T.C.A. § 55-21-105.
Per BL12.44.070, the two hour maximum still applies at all on-street parking locations.
