A 20-year-old man is jailed today on $416,000 bond after shooting and injuring his sister outside of their Hermitage apartment Sunday morning. James Johnson was arguing over money with the victim when he allegedly fired two shots, striking her once in the leg.
The victim was transported to Skyline Medical Center for treatment. She refused to speak with Domestic Violence detectives.
Two Glock pistols, one of which was stolen out of Davidson County and appeared to have an automatic switch, were recovered from inside the apartment. Baggies of narcotics, as well as a large amount of cash, were also recovered from Johnson.
Johnson admitted to officers at the scene that he sold narcotics and that the stolen pistol was his for protection.
He was charged with attempted homicide as well as four other gun and drug offenses.
