A convicted drug felon arrested during a traffic stop Thursday is now tied to more than 2.7 pounds of cocaine and five guns, three of which were reported as stolen.
Laprince Beach, 44, was pulled over on Hermitage Avenue yesterday by Central Precinct Officer Jaren Breece for a registration violation when crack cocaine and marijuana were found inside his Hyundai Sonata.
Beach has nine prior felony drug convictions, seven of which were for cocaine possession. A subsequent search of Beach’s home on Lewis Street by TITANS Unit detectives led to the recovery of an additional 2.7 pounds of cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and multiple handguns.
Three of the handguns were reported stolen out of Davidson County in 2020, 2021 and 2023.
Beach was charged with nine drug and weapon possession felonies as well as driving on a revoked license, two counts of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor drug possession. He remains jailed this afternoon on $192,000 bond.
