Update: Outstanding work by Specialized Investigations detectives this afternoon led to the arrest of Jaylin Sanford, 19, outside of an apartment in West Nashville for Monday’s murder of Kenneth Buford Jr. on North Gallatin Pike. Sanford has been charged with criminal homicide and attempted criminal homicide.
Detectives are pursuing strong, active leads in Monday afternoon’s homicide of Kenneth Buford Jr., 19, who was fatally shot just after 3 p.m. in a field off North Gallatin Pike near McKinley Street.
Buford was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
The investigation to this point strongly indicates that Buford was shot by someone he knew. Homicide Unit and Specialized Investigations Division TITANS detectives are working the case.
