Update: The pedestrian struck and killed early Friday morning on Trinity Lane is identified as Robert L. Jones, 39, of Nashville. Fatal crash investigators have located surveillance photos of the Nissan Murano involved in Friday’s 2 a.m. hit and run collision on West Trinity Lane that claimed Robert Jones, 39, of Nashville. They are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver. Fatal Crash investigators are working to identify the hit and run driver of a black Nissan Murano who Friday at 2 a.m. struck a male pedestrian on West Trinity Lane near the exit ramp from I-65 North.
The pedestrian, tentatively identified as a 39-year-old Nashville man, was attempting to cross Trinity Lane at the light where the exit ramp from I-65 North intersects with Trinity Lane when he was struck. He was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died. The Medical Examiner’s office is working to positively identify him.
