Update: The victim fatally shot Friday morning on East Trinity Lane has been identified as Priscila Vallecillo, 44.
Homicide Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Friday’s 10:15 a.m. shooting at a home on the 100 block of East Trinity Lane after the victim, an unidentified Hispanic woman, later died at the hospital.
The woman was living at the location with her boyfriend when witnesses said an unknown black man with dark clothing and a mask came into the home and fired several rounds at her boyfriend before shooting the victim multiple times on the front porch.
The woman was transported to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition. Efforts to identify her through fingerprints are ongoing by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The woman’s boyfriend, who was not struck by the gunfire, and another witness followed the suspect as he fled on foot towards Meridian Street before they lost sight of him.
