Eighteen months of investigation into the July 2022 drug overdose death of Nashvillian Evan D. Leonard, the man alleged to have supplied him with deadly fentanyl is now jailed on a grand jury indictment charging him with second-degree murder.
Leonard, 21, was found dead by his roommate at their West Nashville apartment on the morning of July 15, 2022. The roommate reported Leonard told him the night before that he took an ecstasy pill that made him feel “weird.”
Months of work by narcotics detectives assigned to the Specialized Investigations Division’s Neighborhood Safety Unit led to the identification of Adrian T. Raybon, 34, as the man who allegedly supplied Leonard with a street drug containing fentanyl. Raybon was taken into custody Thursday evening at his home on Crouch Drive. In addition to second-degree murder, he is also charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance. A Criminal Court judge set bond for Raybon at $100,000.
