Specialized Investigations Division detectives a short time ago arrested Wyatt Morrison, 18, on a charge of especially aggravated attempted robbery for this morning’s shooting of another 18-year-old behind an old movie theater on Belle Forest Circle in Bellevue.
Morrison was taken into custody as he emerged from his Hydes Ferry Road home. He was armed with a pistol.
Morrison is accused of shooting the victim behind the movie theater while attempting to rob him of his cell phone and money. The victim said he went to the parking lot before 6 a.m. to meet a friend to “smoke.” Morrison is alleged to have also been there and approached the victim at gunpoint. After being wounded in the shoulder and neck, the victim drove to a nearby convenience market from where help was called.
Neither Morrison nor the victim reside in Bellevue.
