James Lucas Smith, 43, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault following a fight at Cobra Bar, 2511 Gallatin Avenue, during which he is accused of stabbing two men who were attempting to break it up. They were taken to area hospitals, one with serious injuries.
Smith fled and witnesses observed him attempting to throw a knife onto the roof of Walgreens at 2500 Gallatin Avenue. A knife was recovered in the parking lot close to where he was taken into custody. Smith is being held in lieu of $50,000.
