Specialized Investigations detectives arrested a mother and son wanted for the May 28 shooting on Rio Vista Drive that seriously injured a man, reportedly during an argument.
Detectives Tuesday afternoon located Michelle Thornton, 43, and her son Deandre Thornton, 18, traveling in a car. They successfully stopped the vehicle and both were taken into custody in the 400 block of Gallatin Pike N. Two firearms, a nine-millimeter pistol and a .40 caliber handgun, were recovered.
Both are charged with attempted criminal homicide and gun possession during the commission of a felony. They are being held in lieu of $510,000 bond each.
