Two students have been arrested so far this week in the following unrelated threat cases:
A 13-year-old John Early Middle School student was identified as the owner of a social media account that made online threats to several schools in January. He was arrested yesterday and charged with making a threat of mass violence and a false report.
A 15-year-old Kipp Antioch Global High School student was arrested today and charged with making a threat of mass violence and a false report after he was identified as the student who made verbal threats to other students.
Threats against schools and institutions are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.
